Overview

  • The training is for senior risk managers and executives and will be run as a highly interactive workshop session, with detailed examples and case studies. Participants are free to bring their own unique cases and issues encountered in their functions to the sessions. Delegate participation will be actively encouraged.

About the Faculty

  • The course director has spent nearly 3 decades in banking, much of it in Risk Management at all levels of clients. He is a former Institute of Banking Lecturer, having gained distinctions and finishing as the top candidate in his year. He has lectured extensively to most of the leading banks including the world’s largest institutions; HSBC, Lloyds Bank, and other big banks delivering extensive programmes to the executives in key financial centers of the world including the USA, Europe, MENA, Africa and Hong Kong.
  • He is currently an accredited Master Trainer running a risk management programme for senior executives at the world’s largest bank.

This five (5) day course will cover the following:

  • Risk Appetite & Enterprise Risk Management
  • Preparing, Reviewing, and Deploying ICAAP
  • Risk Based Compliance Monitoring
  • Stress Testing
  • Understanding ESG Frameworks

Knowledge Pre-requisites

  • This is a c-suite risk course and NOT like any other risk management program.
  • The program is for Chief Risk Officers, Chief Finance Officers, Chief Compliance Officers and those senior risk managers in systemically important banks and financial institutions across Africa.
